Halloween’s over, but there are a few more horror and mystery releases coming to Steam this week. I put together a short list for anyone looking for something story-heavy.

Saraab: Beyond The Veil (Nov 3)

A psychological horror visual novel drawing on Arabian folklore. Elham’s search for her missing younger brother brings her into contact with supernatural beings and buried family secrets. Your choices shape her path and lead to different endings.

Ghost Hunting Journal (Nov 4)

A narrative adventure following two paranormal investigators taking on urban legends in a fictional Chinese city. It mixes conversations and clue hunting with puzzles, ghost-hunting tools and action sequences. There’s dark humor alongside the supernatural cases.

Psycho-Sleuth (Nov 5)

A murder-mystery VN about 13 people trapped in a cult’s death game. Their fictional abilities can spread altered perceptions to others, complicating what witnesses see and remember. You investigate the cases, then challenge statements with evidence during debates.

DEGENERATE STAR (Nov 6)

A sci-fi horror visual novel about investigating the S.S Vandermeer, a research ship that has stopped responding. Your discoveries and decisions lead into branching routes and multiple endings. The store page flags body horror and gore.

Those are the dates currently listed on Steam, and all four have demos available on their store pages.

If you’ve tried any of the demos, how did you find the writing and pacing?
